Nic Swales: April's First Friday at the Cheeky Monkey
Nic's approach is one where the instrument(s) and vocal each have an expression appropriate for a soloist. His guitar style combines extraordinary amounts of lead picking between rhythmic chords placed to adhere to his time signature.
The clip below is one of two from Nic's performance on Friday evening. The other is on the page that features the review.

Directory of Articles
This page lists the articles pertaining to musical activity of musicians from the Sarnia Lambton area.
The older pages aren't responsive and, given the amount of time building the new ones takes right now, aren't likely to be for a while. The adjustable tables I used adjusted better on devices than set layouts but still left a lot to be desired. Once I'm used to the responsive behaviours I'll build some templates as I did before and the process will be quick. Until then, the older pages will have to do. I'm hoping regular visitors will bear with me.
Working with the new format is a big adjustment (and a pain the ass st times). The good news is I'm starting to get used to it and am finding the possibilities it offers are great.
Photo Galleries
Over the summer I shot a lot of pictures of Sarnia area musicians at work Galleries will be going online once I figure out how to make them responsive.
Once online, galleries will include shots from last summer's Ribfest, The Kinstock Festival in Dresden, three cruises on the Duc D'Orleans and shows done at various locations. Performers include Stephen Dumont, Mike Blackmore, Chris Molyneaux, Dressed to Kill, CDDC and Tanya Marie Harris.
We have a great musical scene around Sarnia Lambton. This will put faces to names and show how active many of them are.
Stay tuned …
